According to the USA South’s preseason polls, the Scots are predicted to finish fourth overall in the conference.

The MC women’s basketball team will start their 2016-17 season in Danville, KY on Friday, Nov. 18. The women will face Mary Baldwin College.

The first home game for the women will be on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. They will face off against Thomas More College.

The first USA South Conference game for the women will be Friday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m against Salem College at home.

Like the men, the women will be playing 25 regular season games. The MC women’s team  will also play 14 conference games (seven at home) and a total of 11 home games this season.

The women were picked in the 2016-17 coaches’ preseason polls to win the Western Division of the USA South.

Last season, the women went 26-and-4 overall and went 14-and-1 in conference play. The Lady Scots finished their season with an exciting appearance in the Sweet 16, which is part of the reason behind the women being picked in the pre-season poll.
