We’re fall-ing for these fashion staples!

As our shorts and sandals summer season comes to an end, we are all invited into sweater season. The best season of them all, am I right? The days filled with crisp air, overcast skies, and chilly breezes are on their way, so it’s time to say goodbye to our sandals and hello to our boots.

When it comes to fall fashion, there are just some pieces you can’t live without. It’s the pieces that you can mix and match that are great additions to our fall wardrobes. Here are a few staple pieces that are trending this fashion season.

  1. Boots

I am someone who loves sandals during summer, so transitioning to closed-toed shoes during fall is always tough. However, boots make it easy! Whether you’re going to be wearing ankle booties or knee-high boots, both are a staple to have this fall. Ankle boots can be worn with your favorite pair of jeans or even a skirt. They’re a flexible and versatile shoe that can add so much to a simple outfit. If you’re wearing leggings or skinny jeans, knee-high boots are an option. They add another layer of warmth too!

  1. Sweaters

I have two words for you. Sweater. Weather. You just cannot go wrong with sweaters! This fall we are already seeing a variety of sweaters being worn. The classic, oversized knit sweaters are perfect for chilly days, not to mention how comfy they are. However, in recent years high-rise jeans have become super trendy which makes cropped sweaters a perfect choice to pair with them. Let’s face it, all sweaters are staples.

  1. Coats & Jackets

Coats are probably my favorite clothing item during the colder months. There are so many fun coats out there that can make your outfit great. Teddy bear coats are ideal if you’re going for the casual, comfortable look. However, if you live in East Tennessee, like many of us do, rain jackets are essential, and they can be the perfect addition to your closet. Then, you have the classic trench coat which can create endless possibilities for your outfits. Want to dress up your look? Trench. Want to dress down your look? Trench. Literally. When in doubt, trench coat.

  1. Jeans

One thing that I am sure I will be thankful for this fall is the jean versality in 2020! High rise and low-rise denim, skinny and mom jeans, and wide leg and straight leg jeans are all options. My favorite part of this versality is that there is are options for each and every body type to feel confident and beautiful.

  1. Accessories

Last but not least, we can’t forget all of the accessories that can add to all of your knit sweaters and ankle boot outfits! Masks have become part of all of our wardrobes which gives us a chance to dress them up! Coordinate your masks with your outfits by finding masks with patterned fabrics or neutral, yet bold colors. Also, utilize scrunchies. Scrunchies can add so much to your hairstyle! Whether your wear your hair half-up or in a ponytail, a color coordinated scrunchy can be super cute, and they’re gentle on your hair too!

Happy Fall, y’all!
