Maryville College republicans want your support
Maryville College is a two-party campus. The Maryville College Republicans Club is seeking to increase the level of political diversity on campus by providing a forum for conservative students and members of the Republican Party.
There is a much larger number of Republicans on campus than many would think, and the MC Republicans club is seeking to provide a home for those students who identify as Republicans and to anyone who would like to learn more about the GOP.
Every other week, the MC Republicans come together and engage with local elected officials and candidates for office. Recent guests include members of the Tennessee House of Representatives that represent Blount County.
The MC Republicans are not just limited to meetings–members of the club are actively engaged in the community, participating in political campaigns and other community events.
Our members are active in many facets of our community. We have people who are involved with a lot of organizations both on and off campus, and many are also student athletes.
The Maryville College Republicans are continuing to reach out to their fellow students, growing the club’s membership at a steady pace.
As the president of the MC Republicans club, I want to encourage anyone–whether you are a Republican, conservative or are not sure what your views are–to come be part of our group.
The next meeting of the Maryville College Republicans is scheduled for Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. in Anderson Hall Room 140. The guest speaker will be Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett, a candidate for Congress. All students are welcome to attend Maryville College Republicans Club meetings.
