EDITOR’S NOTE: A new feature in The Highland Echo this fall, “The Echo Encore” entertainment calendar strives to keep you apprised of on-campus events, and the occasional off-campus spotlight, taking place in the coming weeks. MC Division of Fine Arts

• Sept. 26: Trillium recital (classical and contemporary music by a piano trio led by MC Professor Emeritus Dr. Robert Bonham). 7:30 p.m. in the Lambert Recital Hall.
• Oct. 13: Small Ensembles Concert (Lads, Lassies, Off Kilter). 7 p.m. in the Lambert Recital Hall.
• Oct. 15-18: “Detroit” (Obie-winning play by Lisa D’Amour produced by the MC Theatre Department). 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 through Saturday, Oct. 17; 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18. All performances in the Flex Theatre.
• Oct. 26: Keyboard Night (recital by keyboard/piano/organ students of Rachel Acuff, Ashley Burell and Gina Milligan). 6 p.m. in the Lambert Recital Hall

All MC Division of Fine Arts performances take place in the Clayton Center for the Arts; students, faculty and staff are admitted free, but some events (like “Detroit”) require a reserved ticket from the box office for admission.

Clayton Center for the Arts: “Clayton Center Presents” shows

• Sept. 15: John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band (J2B2), 7:30 p.m. in the Ronald and Lynda Nutt Theatre. Tickets start at $37.95
• Sept. 25: The Ultimate Eagles Experience (nationally touring tribute band), 7:30 p.m. in the Nutt Theatre. Tickets start at 50.82
• Oct. 10: “The Magic of Motown” (nationally touring Motown show), 7:30 p.m. in the Nutt Theatre. Tickets begin at $55.97
• Oct. 15: Chi-Town Transit Authority (eight-piece Chicago tribute band), 7:30 p.m. in the Nutt Theatre. Tickets begin at $41.81.
• Oct. 27: “Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock, Live” (a “Fraggle Rock” stage show), 7 p.m. in the Nutt Theatre. Tickets start at $41.55.

Students interested in attending “Clayton Center Presents” performances can check with the box office or Today@MC on the day of each show for the release of free tickets to MC students with valid student ID. Call the box office at: 865-981-8590.

• Sept. 25 and 26: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (theatrical production presented by Maryville Christian School). 7 p.m. Sept. 25; 4 and 7 p.m. Sept. 26 in the Flex Theatre. Tickets start at $18.99
• Oct. 29-31: “Dracula” (a ballet by Appalachian Ballet Company). 7 p.m. Oct. 29, 6 p.m. Oct. 30, 2 and 5 p.m. Oct. 31. Tickets start at $41.66

• Sept. 17: “Swap Me” (swap meet by Fit.Green.Happy.® and Hands of the Highlands, coinciding with Volunteer Fest). Noon to 2 p.m. on Pearsons Lawn. Free.
• Sept. 17: Bonfire and Games (sponsored by Fit.Green.Happy.®, MC Gamers and Hands of the Highlands, featuring a bonfire, yard games, board games and more. 6 p.m. at Crawford House. Free.
• Sept. 25: “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” (live shadowcast produced by Alpha Psi Omega theater honor society and MC Pride Club). 8 p.m. and midnight. Free
