Faculty to perform recital on Sept. 30
On Friday Sept. 30, the Maryville College faculty will present a faculty recital at the Clayton Center’s Lambert Hall.
Dr. Sheri Matascik, an associate professor of music, will be presenting this upcoming show. The show will feature steel-string, fingerstyle guitar solos that are of Matascik’s own composition. The performance will include selections from her first two CD’s, entitled “At the End of the Day”and “Spirit Wood.”
Matascik has been a part of the Maryville College community since 1995 and has had a large impact since the beginning.
She has a bachelor’s degree in classical guitar performance, a master’s degree in music theory and composition and a doctorate in music and composition from Kent State University. She is well skilled in her field, and has had much experience.
Since composing her own music, she has utilized those skills and passed them to her students.
This show is free and open to the public.
