Alumna Clair Scott looks up at one of the many dilapidated fireplaces that can be seen along Jake’s Creek Trail in Gatlinburg. The fireplaces are left behind from the homes of vacationers and loggers who bought the land from the Little River Lumber Company, who logged the area in the 1900s.
