Maryville Colleges throws a Bicentennial Ghost Tour

Looking for something fun to do to celebrate fall and Halloween? The leaves are brown, the air is crisp, fall is here! With fall comes Maryville College’s annual haunted forest ghost tour. To celebrate Maryville College’s Bicentennial, Alpha Psi Omega, the College’s branch of the national theatre honor society, is spicing up the Halloween Ghost Tour like a pumpkin spice latte.

On Oct. 18, APO will host the ghost tour in the Maryville College woods and is looking to make it the scariest season yet in honor of Maryville College’s Bicentennial.

APO will first host a family friendly fall festival from 6 p.m.to 8 p.m. at the McArthur Pavilion, where people of all ages can enjoy activities such as fun games, concessions, face paintings and a non-scary walk through the woods with tour guides to tell you about Maryville College’s rich history.

Once the sun goes down and the ghosts come out, the ghost tour will begin. It costs $1 per person to walk the haunted trail with tours going on from 8 p.m. until midnight. A tour guide will walk groups of people through with only a flashlight to shed light on all that is hiding in the woods. They will tell stories about all of the ghosts and goblins that haunt the woods along the way.

Activities will still be available for free at the pavilion as well as concessions. What are you waiting for? Get yourself some warm hot chocolate and have some scary good fun!
