The purpose of the Highland Echo is to act as a source of information for students, faculty and staff at Maryville College. This information shall be accurate and in conjunction with the Maryville College Covenant.

The Highland Echo is an important tool for information within the school and in the community,  now and in the future. It is equally important that the newspaper staff represent the college in a responsible and respectful manner.
